Key Responsibilities

The Operational Technology (OT) Cybersecurity Engineer is responsible for overseeing the security of OT networks, systems, and processes. This position requires a deep understanding of OT security standards, architecture, and implementation, which includes aspects such as network segmentation, physical access security, network access control, and security operations.

Main Duties

  • Safeguard the information security of industrial control systems (ICS) and other operational technology systems.
  • Develop and refine standards, procedures, and guidelines to mitigate OT security risks.
  • Implement protective measures to shield OT systems from cyber threats, focusing on network segmentation, security operations, and physical access security.
  • Conduct risk assessments for ICS/OT in global facilities to identify critical business systems and establish effective gap analysis and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Design security architecture and cybersecurity strategies for operational technology domains, addressing network segmentation, physical security, network access control, and security operations.
  • Collaborate with IT and OT professionals, as well as senior stakeholders, including infrastructure and OT engineering teams, to ensure comprehensive organizational security.
  • Manage vulnerabilities, network traffic, and asset discovery processes.
  • Perform additional OT cybersecurity tasks as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity with a strong grasp of various cybersecurity domains.
  • Hands-on experience collaborating closely with OT engineering teams.
  • Expertise in network segmentation, Purdue model, OT/ICS security architecture, NIST risk assessment, security operations for OT, OT security monitoring tools, SIEM implementation, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and incident response for OT.
  • Prior experience in conducting risk assessments, developing security architecture, and creating segmentation plans for IT/OT environments.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) for engaging with both technical and non-technical senior stakeholders.
  • Able to produce both technical and non-technical documentation tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Willingness to travel internationally for OT security project-related tasks, including risk assessments.
  • Hybrid work arrangement in accordance with company policies.
