FX Dealer Job Description

Ebury is a leading FinTech firm that offers a range of innovative financial solutions, including FX risk management, trade finance, currency accounts, international payments, and API integration.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced FX Dealer to join our team in Barcelona. As an FX Dealer, you will be responsible for promoting the growth of Ebury by providing expert advice and guidance to our clients on international business transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service a portfolio of corporate clients across various products, including FX hedging, lending, and cash management.
  • Execute FX trades with multiple liquidity providers, using various trading platforms, including Bloomberg and Reuters.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to assist in business origination and understand client business environments, strategies, and industry to provide the best solution.
  • Deliver on dealer-specific KPIs, including repeat and new business revenues, reducing client churn, upselling high-margin products, and increasing wallet-share.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through client meetings and expand existing business by providing feedback to technology and product managers.
  • Originate new business via networking with existing clients for business referrals.
Requirements
  • Strong financial services sales experience, preferably in a commercial bank or FX specialist environment.
  • Experience of working in a commercial bank selling to SMEs.
  • Relevant experience in an environment different from a bank, such as FX specialist or cash management.
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements.
  • Business or finance academic background is a plus.
Competencies and Personal Characteristics
  • Fluent Spanish and Catalan, and a professional level of English.
  • Proven ability to bring passion, energy, and motivation to a sales organization.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas and market share goals.
  • Comfortable with a phone sales approach.
  • First-class communication skills, able to win commitment and buy-in.
  • Able to develop sales strategies, techniques, and tactics based on customer feedback and market environment.
  • Skilled negotiator, able to build and leverage relationships at senior levels.
  • Strong analytical skills.
