Web Engineering Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Web Engineering Manager to join our team at Canonical. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading a globally distributed team of web engineers and driving the development of our cloud operating system.
Your primary focus will be on ensuring the success of your team, providing technical leadership, and fostering a collaborative engineering culture. You will work closely with other engineering teams, senior management, and external stakeholders to deliver technical solutions that meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a globally distributed team of web engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and hands-on career development.
- Drive the development of our cloud operating system, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.
- Collaborate with other engineering teams to identify and prioritize technical projects, ensuring timely delivery of solutions.
- Advocate for modern, agile software development practices and help develop and evangelize great engineering and organizational practices.
- Work closely with senior management to develop and implement technical strategies that align with business goals.
- Strong technical leadership skills, with experience leading high-performing teams.
- Deep understanding of web development, cloud computing, and software engineering principles.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with distributed teams.
- Ability to drive work to completion, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Experience working in an agile development environment, with a strong understanding of industry trends and new technologies.
