Canonical is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead our team of engineers in building a next-generation private cloud infrastructure. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing high-quality microservice architectures and leading high-performance teams.
About the Role
- Lead a team of remote engineers in designing and developing cloud infrastructure solutions.
- Develop and implement modern software development practices to ensure timely and high-quality software delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive technical strategy and execution.
- Participate in code and architectural reviews to ensure technical excellence.
- Engage with the open-source community and partners to advance our cloud infrastructure solutions.
Requirements
- Experience leading successful engineering teams in cloud infrastructure development.
- Deep knowledge of Linux and cloud computing technologies, including networking, storage, containers, and Kubernetes.
- Strong technical leadership skills, with a focus on developing and growing people.
- Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills.
- Experience programming in C and/or Go.
