Design Manager

We are partnering with a leading global consulting and engineering company to find an experienced Design Manager for their Malaga location. Our client offers strategic, tactical, and operational advice to various entities, including colocation data centres, internet service providers, and telecom companies.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage scope-of-work, design budget, and contract documents for each project
- Follow and update design delivery schedule and distribute workload within the team
- Coordinate and optimise design with multi-disciplinary team and external parties
- Lead and challenge design solutions and changes
- Create and communicate innovative ideas and designs to client and team
- Holds a Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Has over 5 years of experience managing multidisciplinary design, engineering, and construction projects, preferably in data centres or other relevant sectors
- Shows an affinity with digital and automated design and engineering processes (BIM360, CDE)
- Possesses good knowledge of standard practices in the design and construction industry, and a good understanding of the daily (operational) business of clients
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills towards colleagues and clients, and is fluent in English (and preferably the local office language – Spanish)
