We are seeking a highly experienced Design Manager to join our team at Quanta, part of QCS Staffing. As a Design Manager, you will be responsible for managing the design process for data centre projects, ensuring that all designs meet the required standards and are delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Design Management: Manage the design process for data centre projects, including scope-of-work, design budget, and contract documents.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of designers and engineers to deliver high-quality designs.
- Design Coordination: Coordinate and optimize design with multi-disciplinary teams and external parties.
- Design Innovation: Develop and implement innovative design solutions and ideas.
- Communication: Communicate design solutions and ideas to clients and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Education: Holds a Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: Has over 5 years of experience managing multidisciplinary design, engineering, and construction projects, preferably in data centres or other relevant sectors.
- Skills: Shows an affinity with digital and automated design and engineering processes (BIM360, CDE); possesses good knowledge of standard practices in the design and construction industry, and a good understanding of the daily (operational) business of clients.
- Language: Demonstrates excellent communication skills towards colleagues and clients, and is fluent in English (and preferably the local office language – Spanish).
