Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled Design Manager to lead our data centre design team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical or electrical engineering and experience managing multidisciplinary design, engineering, and construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage scope-of-work, design budget, and contract documents for each project
- Follow and update design delivery schedule and distribute workload within the team
- Coordinate and optimize design with multi-disciplinary team and external parties
- Lead and challenge design solutions and changes
- Create and communicate innovative ideas and designs to clients and team
Requirements
- Holds a Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Has over 5 years of experience managing multidisciplinary design, engineering, and construction projects, preferably in data centres or other relevant sectors
- Shows an affinity with digital and automated design and engineering processes (BIM360, CDE)
- Possesses good knowledge of standard practices in the design and construction industry, and a good understanding of the daily (operational) business of clients
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills towards colleagues and clients, and is fluent in English (and preferably the local office language - Spanish)
