Network Deployment Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Deployment Specialist to join our team within Networking at Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering the hardware, configuration, and fiber connectivity of interdependent scaling projects across multiple data center locations.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with our Network Engineering and Network Technical Project Manager teams to ensure fast and smooth rollout of established designs and products.
- Manage work priorities through ticketing systems and workflows, and collaborate with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
- Troubleshoot networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues, including troubleshooting of network device configuration and low-level application interaction.
- Troubleshoot cabling infrastructure connectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords.
- Specify Power and Cooling requirements and ensure Hardware Racking/Stacking completed for new equipment.
- Complete customer requests via Remedy trouble ticketing system and project management workflows.
- Participate in the migration, basic configuration, and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.
- Technical Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or Certifications in a relevant field (CCENT, Network+, CCNA).
- 2+ years of experience in data center or critical environment.
- 2+ years of experience with network cabling, optic types, and test equipment (VFL, power meter, and OTDR, etc.).
- Must be fluent or at least advanced level in English.
- Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.
- Knowledge of major Command Line Protocols (Cisco IOS, JunOS, etc).
- Experience with ethernet and IP networking.
- Experience in large-scale data center network implementations and support.
- Experience working in virtualized enterprise networking environments.
- Familiarity with common networking terms and fabric-based network design.
- Experience with enterprise-level infrastructure technologies (Routers, Switches, Load Balancers, Firewalls, etc.).
