Network Deployment Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Deployment Specialist to join our Planning and Implementation team within AWS Data Center Delivery. The successful candidate will be responsible for scoping and planning interdependent capacity scaling projects and new network capacity deployments across several data center locations.
Key Responsibilities- Project Planning and Coordination: Ensure adherence to timelines and deliver sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes.
- Network Infrastructure Management: Work closely with our Install/Deployment Technicians, Supply Chain & Procurement, Network Engineers, and Technical Project Manager teams to ensure fast, smooth delivery of on-demand customer capacity.
- Network Cabling and Optics: Knowledge of network cabling and optic types, experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies, and familiarity with common networking terms.
- Project Management: Excellent judgement and analytical skills, ability to prioritize tasks based on fluctuating needs, strong prioritization and time management ability, and coordination of design, project timeline/schedule, and construction milestones.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.
Requirements- 5+ years data center networking experience working with optics and bulk fiber.
- 3+ years experience working with large scaling infrastructure deployments.
- 3+ years experience working with 3rd party vendors on large projects.
- 5+ years data center networking experience working with optics, bulk fiber AND a firm understanding of power and cooling.
- 5+ years experience working with large scaling infrastructure deployments.
- 3 years of experience working new data center builds.
