Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Portfolio Manager to enhance our Portfolio Management department. This role involves:

  • Preparing investment committee proposals, including initial cases and follow-ons, and actively participating in these committees.
  • Structuring new investments and managing follow-on investments.
  • Coordinating exits for portfolio companies.
  • Reviewing and negotiating investment documents with other investors and investees.
  • Collaborating with investment teams across various offices to analyze new investment structures and follow-on proposals.
  • Drafting Investment committee decision letters.
  • Leading company valuations and designing portfolio dashboards alongside market analysis.

Candidate Profile:

  • A collaborative team player with strong networking and intercultural skills, valuing relationship building.
  • Ability to work independently while establishing trust with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, suitable for interacting with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proactive learner, eager to develop skills in venture capital and investment management.
  • A positive, curious, and open-minded approach to challenges.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • An MBA or equivalent degree from a top-tier graduate institution.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in venture capital, investment management, or banking.
  • Prior experience in early-stage investing, exits, and cleantech is advantageous.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Experience in coordinating with investment teams across different locations.
  • A background in multinational environments.
  • A self-assertive and results-oriented mindset.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

This position is primarily based in EIT InnoEnergy's Spanish offices, although other locations may be considered.
