The role of the Underwriting Operations Technician is to deliver consistent and effective end-to-end assistance for both online and offline business managed in the UWR Centre, alongside providing support for language-specific tasks in the branch. This encompasses, but is not limited to, activities such as data entry into underwriting systems and various other platforms necessary for tracking business, bespoke certificates, sanction verifications, broker relationship management, project-related support, quality assurance, handling inquiries from both internal and external sources, and resolving credit control issues.
Reporting Structure: This position reports directly to the UOT Team Leader.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with rules-based branch operations that necessitate language proficiency and technical expertise.
- Accurately input relevant data into rating tools, ensuring data integrity through precise entry.
- Provide operational support for underwriters handling both Online and Offline business in the Hub.
- Address broker inquiries related to Online/Offline business and cultivate strong working relationships with local brokers.
- Oversee centralized processes for Operations quality assurance and reporting.
- Operate within the framework of our ethical and service standards.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Native or advanced proficiency in Dutch.
- Professional command of the English language.
- Experience in the insurance industry is advantageous.
- Prior involvement in servicing multinational insurance projects is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong customer service orientation and a detail-oriented mindset, with a commitment to delivering and enhancing quality.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Capability to work collaboratively in a team setting as well as independently.
