Job Description

CIC energiGUNE is seeking a highly skilled researcher to join our Hydrogen Electrochemistry group. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of new electrolyzer cell concepts and geometries, optimize electrochemical processes, and characterize solid electrolyte-electrode interfaces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and optimize electrolyzer cell concepts and geometries
  • Develop and implement electrochemical processes for metal electroplating and output gas collection
  • Model and simulate electrolyzer cell behavior
  • Characterize solid electrolyte-electrode interfaces using electrochemical techniques
  • Disseminate research results through publications, conference presentations, and project meetings
Requirements:
  • PhD in Electrochemistry, Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of electrochemical cell design and fundamental electrochemistry
  • Desirable knowledge of electronics and experience in metal dissolution and electroplating
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a focus on technology transfer
  • High level of autonomy and orientation to objectives
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
