Bertrandt, a frontrunner in pioneering solutions for the Aerospace industry, is seeking a Telecommunications Systems Engineer who possesses both expertise and enthusiasm for the development, specification, and design of sophisticated communication systems. This position is centered on enhancing the design and execution of systems for state-of-the-art aerospace platforms, ensuring seamless interoperability, security, and operational efficiency of tactical and strategic communications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and specify integrated communication systems, utilizing modeling techniques such as SysML (preferred) and specification tools like IBM DOORS, to fulfill the technical and operational demands of Aerospace initiatives while ensuring traceability throughout the process.
- Lead the collection of high-level requirements from clients and stakeholders, ensuring that project goals align with operational necessities and performance standards.
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including Software Design Documents (SDD) and Software Requirements Documents (SRD), to direct the development, testing, and integration of telecommunications systems on aerospace platforms.
- Oversee the creation of plans and specifications for essential certifications, including DO-254, DO-178, and environmental testing certifications, ensuring adherence to safety and quality benchmarks.
- Plan and manage flight tests, analyzing data to implement adjustments and enhancements in systems, with the objective of maximizing effectiveness and operational safety.
- Actively engage in management functions, such as team coordination, project planning, follow-up meetings, and documentation of meeting minutes, contributing to the successful and timely delivery of projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in the design and specification of telecommunications systems, ideally within the Aerospace sector.
- Preferred knowledge in modeling for specification (SysML, Simulink, UML, etc.), IBM DOORS, and standards related to aerospace communication and certifications (DO-254, DO-178).
- Familiarity with reference aerospace platforms in transportation and combat domains.
- Capability to lead requirements gathering, manage stakeholders, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
- High level of proactivity, exceptional synthesis and organizational skills, with outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
- Willingness to be part of a systems engineering team with opportunities for professional development.
- Fluency in both Spanish and English (technical and professional).
