Your Responsibilities

In your role at Airbus, you will be responsible for the position of Raman Technology Specialist, playing a crucial part in accelerating the development of a hydrogen-powered commercial aircraft.

Your primary objective will be to design and integrate Raman Optical sensor technology across various systems within the ZEROe project (including Fuel Cell systems).

This role involves evaluating diverse design proposals and preparing for the testing of system concepts.

You will engage with a broad network of stakeholders, including the Airbus engineering community, subcontractors, and external industrial and academic partners.

Main Duties Include:

  • Continuing the development of key components of the Raman Technology for various applications.
  • Preparing tests to assess the performance of these components under different conditions.
  • Supporting the design and integration of Raman Technology from the architectural phase through to manufacturing and testing.

Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master's degree or equivalent in Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the design of RAMAN systems.
  • Proficient in Raman System Architecture related to hardware and software.
  • Experience in designing mechanical interfaces for optical sensors and defining optical systems.
  • Familiarity with Fiber Optic applications, particularly for environmental monitoring, including fiber architecture design and optical performance assessment.
  • Experience with systems operating in cryogenic environments.
  • Background in thermal and fluid mechanics.
  • Knowledge of structural design and system integration (both electrical and mechanical).
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming is advantageous.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
  • Strong relationship-building, networking, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • High levels of initiative, credibility, independence, integrity, confidentiality, and trust.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish; proficiency in French or German is a plus.
