Job Summary

The AI Lab at Hewlett Packard is responsible for driving innovation in Generative AI to solve top user needs and enable new user experiences. The team will work closely with different departments to support modeling needs, translating high-level user requirements into specific modeling requirements, creating plans, and executing on those.

Key Responsibilities

  • Focus on model optimization and deployment, exploring and implementing strategies to reduce memory footprint and improve latency without compromising model quality.
  • Help define the technical roadmap of the AI lab to support Hewlett Packard's ambitious AI strategy.
  • Develop processes and standards to ensure high-quality and safe models.
  • Adopt state-of-the-art Generative AI modeling and evaluation techniques.
  • Execute strategic engineering proof of concepts in the Generative AI space.

Requirements

  • Four-year or graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
  • Master's or PhD in AI or a related area is highly valued.
  • Typically 7+ years of work experience in AI modeling or applied machine learning.
