Job Title: Application Engineer

Giesecke+Devrient is a global company that offers security technologies, both in the physical and digital world. Our company is a leader in secure telecommunications systems via SIM/eSIM, and we are looking for an Application Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:
  • Installation and deployment of software applications developed by our R&D team to different environments (test and production)
  • Automation of application installation and continuous improvement using Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes technologies
  • Troubleshooting application incidents and coordinating with other teams in case of database, infrastructure, or software issues
  • Performing health checks of services/solutions and providing input on future needs
  • Ensuring compliance and information security requirements in Service Operations
  • Evaluating, improving, and adding applicable instructions
  • Ensuring synergy and communication with development and other application teams
Requirements:
  • Licensed in IT or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, and databases (Oracle, SQL server)
  • Technical skillset in software application area
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and Service Management
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changes
  • Fluent written and spoken English
