Software Deployment Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Deployment Engineer to join our team at Giesecke+Devrient. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the installation and deployment of software applications developed by our R&D team to various environments.
Key Responsibilities- Installation and Deployment: Install and deploy software applications to test and production environments.
- Automation and Continuous Improvement: Automate application installation processes and continuously improve them using Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Troubleshooting and Coordination: Troubleshoot application incidents and coordinate with other teams to resolve issues.
- Health Checks and Maintenance: Perform health checks of services and solutions, and provide input on future maintenance needs.
- Compliance and Security: Ensure compliance with information security requirements and evaluate, improve, and add applicable instructions.
- Team Collaboration: Ensure synergy and communication with development and other application teams globally.
- Education: Licensed in IT or equivalent.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, and databases (Oracle, SQL server).
- Software Application Expertise: Technical skillset in the software application area.
- ITIL Processes: Knowledge of ITIL processes and Service Management.
- Soft Skills: Ability to work under pressure, solution-oriented mindset, excellent team player, ability to adapt to changes, and ability to follow processes and work instructions.
- Language: Fluent in written and spoken English.
