At G+D Mobile Security, the foremost authority in secure telecommunications systems via SIM/eSIM, we are seeking an Application Engineer. This role is pivotal in overseeing daily operations within our on-premises data center, addressing service delivery scenarios that include service requests, changes, incident and problem resolutions, and facilitating second-line support in live environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the installation and deployment of software applications developed by our R&D team across various environments (testing and production).
- Automate application installations and drive continuous improvement processes utilizing Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes technologies.
- Diagnose application incidents and collaborate with other teams to resolve database, infrastructure, or software-related issues.
- Conduct necessary or on-demand health checks of services and solutions.
- Provide insights regarding future needs and investments to maintain existing and upcoming services to the Data Center Manager.
- Ensure compliance with information security requirements in Service Operations.
- Assess, enhance, and develop relevant instructions.
- Foster synergy and communication with development and other application teams across global locations.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Degree in IT or a related field.
- Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, and databases (Oracle, SQL Server).
- Technical expertise in software application management.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and Service Management.
- Ability to perform under pressure.
- Mindset focused on solutions and process improvements.
- Strong team collaboration skills.
- Adaptability to change.
- Capability to adhere to established processes, procedures, and work instructions.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
