At G+D Mobile Security, recognized as the premier provider of secure telecommunications systems via SIM/eSIM, we are in search of an Application Engineer: This role is pivotal in overseeing daily operations within our on-premises data center, focusing on service delivery across various scenarios, particularly in managing service requests, changes, incident resolution, and facilitating second-line support in live environments. The Application Engineer collaborates closely with IT infrastructure, Database Engineers, and development teams to ensure optimal service performance and enhance existing processes through participation in new release deployments and the implementation of automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation and deployment of software applications developed by our R&D team across various environments (both testing and production).
- Automate application installations and drive continuous improvement using technologies such as Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Diagnose application incidents and coordinate with other teams for resolution of database, infrastructure, or software-related issues.
- Conduct necessary or on-demand health checks of services and solutions.
- Provide insights regarding future needs and investments to maintain existing and upcoming services to the Data Center Manager.
- Ensure compliance with information security requirements in Service Operations.
- Assess, enhance, and contribute applicable documentation.
- Foster synergy and communication with development and other application teams across global locations.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Degree in IT or a related field.
- Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, and databases (Oracle, SQL Server).
- Technical expertise in the software application domain.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and Service Management.
- Ability to perform under pressure.
- A mindset focused on solutions and process enhancements.
- Strong team collaboration skills.
- Adaptability to change.
- Capability to adhere to established processes, procedures, and work instructions.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
