About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Space Systems Engineer to join our team at Alén Space. As a key member of our Space Missions division, you will be responsible for the mechanical and structural design of satellites, including modeling, simulation, and analysis of components and structures using advanced design tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Create detailed designs of satellite mechanical subsystems, ensuring compliance with mission requirements and technical specifications.
  • Structural Optimization: Develop optimized structures to withstand the conditions of launch and the space environment, using advanced tools and techniques.
  • Component Integration: Integrate satellite components, ensuring compatibility between different subsystems and optimizing structural and thermal performance.
  • Design Validation: Validate design through finite element simulations and physical testing, ensuring compliance with technical and regulatory mission requirements.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other engineering teams to ensure compatibility between different satellite subsystems and optimize structural and thermal performance.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of prior experience in the mechanical and structural design of satellites or the aerospace industry (preferably in small satellite projects).
  • Skills: Knowledge and proficiency in advanced modeling and simulation tools such as SOLIDWORKS, fluent English (written and spoken), and strong analytical, organizational, and reporting skills.
