About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Elixir Software Engineer to join our team at Kantox Limited. As a key member of our software engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our code base, developing new features, and ensuring the smooth operation of our applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and improve the code base, ensuring all applications are running correctly
  • Develop and test new features, solve issues as they arise, and perform regular maintenance and upgrades
  • Review peer code and provide feedback to improve the quality of our software
  • Participate in support shifts, responding to requests from the rest of the company in a timely and professional manner
  • Contribute to technical discussions, prepare and maintain technical documentation, and suggest improvements to our processes
Requirements
  • Senior level engineers with 3+ years of professional experience in Elixir
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to build consensus
  • Experience with automation testing and a strong understanding of test-driven development
  • Ability to break down complex features into manageable sprints and track progress
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong understanding of the balance between short-term goals and long-term sustainability
  • Passionate about technology and committed to ongoing learning and development
  • University degree in Computer Science (preferably a Master's) or equivalent
Desirable Skills
  • Permission to work within the EU
  • Fluent in English
  • Technical proficiency in Ruby on Rails and Elixir
