Controller for Financial Operations

Roverpass is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Controller to oversee all accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management and accounting, with a proven track record in overseeing financial operations, providing strategic financial insights, and ensuring compliance with GAAP.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and revenue recognition.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Coordinate and manage external audits and tax preparations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Controller, ideally with a focus on working with U.S. clients.
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks.
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
