About the Role

Edp Energias De Portugal S.A. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Developer for Renewable Energy Storage to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for managing the company's Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects, from prospect to delivery, ensuring they are carried out under the best conditions to contribute to the successful fulfillment of our business plan.

Main Responsibilities
  • Development of the Business Plan: Collaborate in the identification of suitable geographical locations for BESS projects to contribute to the achievement of business plan objectives.
  • Relations with Stakeholders: Keep project progress up to date, promote information exchange, and ensure objectives are met to monitor project progress.
  • Knowledge of the Competence Sector: Understand competitors and main participants in the energy business, propose strategies to detect opportunities, foresee risks, and threats to guarantee the company's competitive position.
  • Project Management: In charge of projects from identification/confirmation of opportunities to transfer to Construction and Asset Management Team, following company processes and tools.
  • Coordination: Supervise and coordinate EDPR teams involved in each project phase and external partners or providers to ensure complete coordination of all interventions and quality of contributions.
  • Budget Elaboration: Participate in the definition and updating of the budget elaboration regarding the project assigned.
  • Institutional Representation: Represent the Company before transport and distribution energy-producing organizations and other organizations in the sector.
Requirements
  • Academic Level: University Degree in a technical field or extensive renewables development experience.
  • Required Professional Experience: 5-8 years in solar or onshore wind development, either developer or consultancy background, with experience in BESS projects in Germany.
  • Specific Knowledge: Experience in stakeholder consultation/management, German planning process, and delivering consented, buildable renewable generation assets.
  • Language: Fluent German and English, with Spanish spoken and written a plus.
  • Skills/Competences: Autonomous, adaptable, and multi-skilled, with strong problem-solving ability and ability to perform duties in a collaborative and multi-national working environment.
