Zurich Insurance is seeking a highly skilled and innovative individual to join our team as the Senior Digital Solution/Product Architect. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with our Business Units and the Digital Payments Product Management to champion the cross-group reusability of digital assets.

Your Role

As a Senior Digital Solution/Product Architect, your main responsibilities will involve:

  • Collaborating closely with Product Management, Business Units, and Developer Team to bring the product roadmap to life.
  • Providing early opinion on technical feasibility and viability of product ideas.
  • Leading the development and execution of solution demos to make the Digital Payments Product more tangible.
  • Establishing and advocating the Architecture Principles supporting Decoupling, Scale, Distributed processing, Microservices, Domain Driven Design, Performance, Security, Event Driven Architecture, etc.
  • Defining the high-level Logical Architecture (aka System Design) of the product, aligning to architecture principles. Ability to build consensus on the architectural solutions.
  • Contributing to Epic elaboration, defining use-cases, evaluating trade-offs, honouring domain principles, producing Architecture artifacts (C4 Model) and System Design documentation, identifying and defining service interactions, and producing flow-level architecture, etc.
  • Deep engagement with the Dependent Domains to ensure seamless integration adhering to the Domain Driven Design principles.
  • Leading business unit-level engagements from the solution implementation side.
  • Even though this is an individual contributor role, team leadership of assigned developers contributing to the Digital Payment Product is required.
Your Skills and Experience

As a Digital Solution/Product Architect, your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

  • Strong technical knowledge and demonstrated experience in Software Architecture and System Design.
  • Proven history of designing enterprise-grade applications following Domain Driven Design, Microservices, Event Driven Systems, Cloud Native principles, API design, Eventual Consistency, etc.
  • Exposure to Cloud, Messaging middleware, Monitoring tools, Authentication/Authorization, gRPC, REST, Variety of Persistence and Caching technologies, Frontend stack, etc.
  • Exposure to following technologies: Java, REST, SpringBoot, Kafka, NATS, gRPC, noSQL, Cassandra, Postgres, Redis, Prometheus, Grafana, React, etc.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Exhibit sound judgment and swift decision-making skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven history in payments industry and payment services solution development.
  • Experience in the insurance industry is a plus.
  • Excellent English skills.
