The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Employee Relations Specialist to join our team in Spain. As a key member of our EMEA Employee Relations team, you will engage with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve complex employment matters, ensuring compliance and consistency across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance on disciplinary actions and involuntary terminations, ensuring adherence to company policies and employment laws.
- Coach managers and employees on performance management, promoting high employee engagement and productivity.
- Advise managers on individual employee issues, such as returning from long leave and reintegration plans, employee wellbeing, and other sensitive matters.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners and the business to handle reorganizations from an Employee Resource perspective, minimizing disruption and ensuring a smooth transition.
- Moderate conflicts amongst employees, promoting a positive and respectful work environment.
- Consult with employees on changes to terms and conditions of employment, ensuring transparency and fairness.
- Develop a constructive and collaborative relationship with our Spain Works Council, fostering open communication and mutual understanding.
- Work closely with the Works Council Lead (EMEA) to drive consistency of approach across all EMEA Works Councils, promoting a unified and cohesive employee experience.
- Collaborate with the Employment legal department, Centers of Excellence, and HR Business Partners to provide expert consultation on employee relations and employment law topics.
- Participate in regional and international projects, driving innovation and excellence in employee relations and employment law practices.
