- Development of Safety and Occupational Health Strategies: Collaborate with regulatory bodies to develop and implement effective safety and occupational health strategies, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
- Safety Training and Awareness: Design and deliver regular safety talks and training programs to promote a culture of safety and awareness among employees.
- Site EHS Support: Provide support to site EHS staff in identifying, reporting, trending, and tracking near misses, as well as tracking other key metrics such as CAPAs and incident investigations.
- Personal Protective Equipment Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of personal protective equipment to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Policies: Ensure adherence to all environmental, safety, and occupational health policies, including ISO 45001 and ISO standards.
- Contractor EHS Qualification Program: Lead the development and implementation of the Contractor EHS Qualification Program to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Internal Audits and Risk Assessments: Conduct regular internal audits and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Health and Safety Teams: Participate in health and safety teams to identify and mitigate hazards, and develop effective solutions to address identified risks.
- EHS Management of Change Evaluation: Conduct thorough evaluations of EHS management of change to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- General EHS Inspections: Conduct regular general EHS inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum of five years of related experience in Medical Devices & Diagnostics, Pharmaceutical, and/or Consumer industry.
The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to lift and/or move up to 25-35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
