Private Equity Manager Job Description

Our client, a leader in accounting, administration, and transfer agency services for investment funds, is seeking a Private Equity Manager to lead the relationship of a portfolio of private equity clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing client NAVs and working with close-ended funds specializing in private equity, private debt, real estate, and venture capital.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Management of a portfolio of client relationships
  • Reviews and approves net asset valuations, capital activity, general ledger, cash reconciliations, income, and expenses
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards
  • Manages year-end audits and tax reporting with clients and auditors, ensuring timely completion of fieldwork
  • Reviews financial statements and distribution waterfall calculations
  • Identifies and implements solutions to enhance processes, communication, efficiency, and workflows
  • Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., Compliance, Investor Services) to align processes with client needs
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of experience in the fund industry
  • At least 2 years of experience in managing client relationships, deliverables, and communication
  • In-depth knowledge of closed-ended funds is required
  • Strong knowledge of accounting concepts
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with distribution waterfalls and carried interest calculations
  • Prior experience with PFS-Paxus is desired, but not required
  • Accounting designation desired, but not required
