We are seeking a highly skilled Group Lead Intellectual Property Management to lead a team of IP Engineers and maximize value creation for Nordex through an IP portfolio management strategy aligned with Nordex business objectives and risk mitigation.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of IP Engineers and experts to achieve IP portfolio management goals.
  • Stay up-to-date with patent and product portfolios of major wind industry players.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including inventors, valuation experts, project managers, and IP law firms.
  • Understand Nordex's business strategy and competitor strategies regarding IP use.
  • Protect Nordex's competitive advantage by safeguarding its most valuable IP assets.
  • Conduct invention harvesting sessions and manage invention disclosures to define suitable protection strategies.
  • Perform patent drafting and prosecution, freedom to operate analysis, and IP risk mitigation measures.

Your Profile:

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with additional training in Intellectual Property.
  • Experience in leading a team of IP specialists, with a strong focus on developing team members.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in competitive intelligence analysis and IP protection, preferably in renewable energy or related technologies.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with fluency in English and additional skills in Spanish or German.
