We are seeking a highly skilled Group Lead Intellectual Property Management to lead our team of IP Engineers and drive value creation for Nordex through effective IP portfolio management.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of IP Engineers and experts to maximize value creation for Nordex.
  • Stay up-to-date with patent and product portfolios of major wind industry players.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including inventors, valuation experts, and project managers.
  • Understand company strategy and competitor IP strategies to ensure Nordex retains a competitive advantage.
  • Perform invention harvesting sessions and manage invention disclosures to define suitable protection strategies.
  • Lead patent drafting and prosecution efforts.
  • Conduct freedom to operate analysis and implement IP risk mitigation measures.

Your Profile:

  • Completed M.Sc in Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or similar with additional training in Intellectual Property.
  • Experience in leading a team of IP specialists and a proven track record of developing team members.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in competitive intelligence analysis and intellectual property protection, preferably in renewable energy or related technologies.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to combine creativity with attention to detail.
  • Fluency in English required, with additional skills in Spanish or German a plus.
