Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Training Instructor to enhance our Engineering Training department. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about aviation and dedicated to educating staff on a variety of aircraft engineering subjects, catering to both newcomers and seasoned professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering technical training to engineering personnel, ensuring adherence to the highest industry standards, including:
- Training aligned with business requirements across all airlines
- Part 147 theoretical and practical training
- Specialized type-specific training
- Preparing and improving existing technical training courses
- Creating instructional materials, including course outlines, lesson plans, and training aids
- Maintaining knowledge of EASA regulations and regularly reviewing relevant procedures
- Developing and approving training materials utilizing various delivery methods (classroom, eLearning, Virtual, etc.)
- Delivering practical technical training effectively
- Enhancing training centers for continuous learning across all training levels
- Exhibiting a hands-on approach to training
- Demonstrating strong organizational skills to create effective training programs
- Communicating clearly, both in writing and verbally, with excellent presentation skills
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess experience in aircraft technical training or aircraft engineering. We value individuals who are eager to learn, contribute innovative ideas, and engage openly with the broader team. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will collaborate with a diverse group of individuals.
Essential Qualifications
- Preferred but not mandatory: UK/EASA Part 66 Licence or Aerospace Engineering degree, or evidence of prior experience in aircraft technical training
- Experience in aircraft engineering and hands-on work with aircraft is advantageous
- Attention to detail and the ability to escalate issues effectively
- Capability to plan and meet deadlines set by management
- Proficient in Office 365, with a willingness to learn new software tools
- Ability to provide constructive feedback on compliance issues
- Effective communication skills across various formats (verbal, face-to-face, virtual)
- Open-mindedness and eagerness to acquire new skills and share ideas
- Strong work ethic and responsibility for timely task completion
- Flexibility and adaptability to change
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proactive in finding solutions and addressing them with management
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Must hold a valid UK/EU passport and be willing to travel as required
