Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) is seeking a highly skilled Research Manager Standards to join our team for a 5-6 month maternity leave replacement. As a Research Manager Standards, you will play a critical role in the development of our leading sustainability reporting standards.
Key Responsibilities- Assess knowledge gaps in GRI's activities and provide data and analysis to fill those gaps.
- Compile data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and validity.
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data, applying appropriate tools and methodologies.
- Identify and adopt new tools and methodologies for qualitative and quantitative research.
- Engage with GRI management and different units to identify knowledge gaps, propose research projects, and agree on specific deliveries.
- Represent GRI at external events and communicate key ideas about GRI's work to strategic groups of stakeholders.
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience in working on projects involving research and analysis, preferably with a focus on environmental, social, and economic sustainability issues.
- Strong research skills, familiarity with socio-economic and financial databases, and ability to identify data sources and determine their validity.
- Proficiency in using research tools, statistical software, and data visualization platforms.
- Technical knowledge of reporting and standards processes, including experience with the design of performance indicators.
- Experience delivering presentations and facilitating workshops or training sessions.
- Fluency in written and spoken English, and fluency in one other language is an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical skills and expertise in qualitative research methods; quantitative research skills would be an advantage.
- Results-focused and able to work independently, handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and work to precise timelines.

We help build organizational capacity for sustainability reporting and create a global language used by organizations to provide transparency.
