Job Summary
New York University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to serve as the Spanish Language Program Coordinator. This is a full-time, 12-month position that requires a strong background in language acquisition and program management.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the academic programming of the Spanish language courses, including coordination, development, and oversight of co-curricular activities.
- Teach a maximum of 3 courses per academic year, including office hours and course preparation.
- Develop and mentor faculty, ensuring the effective delivery of excellence in the Spanish language program.
- Collaborate with the Academic team to coordinate and develop immersive language experiences.
Requirements
- Minimum BA or equivalent in Second Language acquisition or related field.
- Post-graduate coursework or degree in a relevant field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience teaching at the university level, particularly with students from the US.
- Experience coordinating or running a language program or multi-section courses, a strong plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of NYU, its values and vision.
- Experience in an academic environment with prior experience mentoring faculty.
- Experience in U.S. and/or Spanish higher education.
