We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at The Computational Chemistry List. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing new methods and algorithms for our flagship code, SIESTA.
Main Responsibilities:
- Design and implement novel computational methods to harness the power of exascale architectures.
- Contribute to the development of AiiDA-based workflows that leverage SIESTA's capabilities.
- Write high-quality, performant, and well-documented code.
- Review and improve code written by colleagues.
- Prepare scientific reports, journal articles, and software documentation.
- Collaborate with our team to secure resources for architecture-dependent code development and benchmarking.
- Contribute to training events and other group activities.
Requirements:
- PhD in Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
- Strong background in DFT-based methods and scientific programming in Fortran.
- Experience with High Performance Computing, revision control software, and GPU offloading.
- Familiarity with High Throughput Calculations and SIESTA will be valued.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
