About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Accounting Team to join our team at Empresa reconocida. As a key member of our Finance department, you will be responsible for leading our accounting team and ensuring the quality of our financial information.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Accounting Operations: Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, cash management, and financial reporting, in compliance with Group procedures and policies.
  2. Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely completion of monthly financial statements, including accruals and provisions, and own the monthly closing process in Navision.
  3. Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the accounting team to achieve the goals of our Finance transformation strategy, which aims to enhance our Finance foundations and industrialize finance through automation and process optimization.
  4. Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to understand the accounting implications of business practices and support strategic projects.
  5. Internal Controls: Ensure adherence to our internal control framework and reinforce LOD1 controls.
  6. Audits: Assist in external and internal audits and ensure the implementation of a continuous improvement process and completion of recommendations action plans by the due date.
  7. Process Optimization: Lead the automation and process optimization process in close collaboration with the Finance Operating Office team.

Requirements:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
  2. Experience: Industry experience in working for a comparable institution in the Finance Department is a must.
  3. Skills: Excellent knowledge of IFRS accounting standards and Bank of Spain requirements, experience in systems implementation and/or optimization, and ability to communicate change requirements to IT teams.
  4. Leadership: Experience in leading teams through change in a fast-paced environment.

Fluent in English.
