Position Overview
Ryanair is seeking a dedicated Avionics Engineer - Technical Services to contribute to the operations of Europe's Largest Airline Group.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of Ryanair's ambitious plans to expand our fleet to 800 aircraft and serve 300 million passengers in the coming decade.
Located in Madrid, the successful applicant will collaborate with a team of skilled engineers to maintain the airworthiness of our extensive fleet, which includes over 500 Boeing and A320 aircraft.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Avionics Manager and Deputy Director of Technical Services, your role will involve:
- Creating and issuing engineering directives;
- Developing technical reports to address various issues, including incidents and significant defects;
- Coordinating with Boeing and equipment manufacturers to resolve technical challenges;
- Conducting thorough reviews of Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives;
- Providing troubleshooting assistance to Maintenance Control, Base Maintenance, and Line Maintenance;
- Designing modifications in alignment with Ryanair's Part 21 Design Organization Approval;
- Assisting the Reliability team in identifying and addressing recurring failures across the fleet;
- Generating and updating relevant operational documents such as MEL, Technical Notices, and Procedures Notices;
- Supporting aircraft lease returns concerning avionics matters.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in an airline environment, specifically in Technical Services or line maintenance with a strong focus on avionics;
- A degree in Aeronautical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering, or a B-2 license;
- In-depth technical knowledge of A320 and B737 aircraft;
- A flexible mindset with a strong emphasis on project delivery;
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel;
- The ability to work independently within a collaborative team setting;
- A keen attention to detail, particularly in multitasking scenarios, and the capability to meet tight deadlines.
