About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Occupational Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Sabic Americas, Inc. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees and protecting them from workplace hazards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective occupational health and safety programs to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular health and chemical risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement control measures.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety procedures and protocols.
  • Investigate incidents and near-miss events to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of health and safety within the organization.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of health and safety activities, including incident reports and training records.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in occupational health and safety, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing health and safety programs, including risk assessments and incident investigations.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to occupational health and safety.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to analyze data and identify trends to inform health and safety decisions.
