About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Occupational Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Sabic Americas, Inc. in Tampico Site. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees and protecting them from exposure to hazardous substances.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement effective health and safety programs to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  2. Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  3. Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety procedures and protocols.
  4. Investigate incidents and near-miss events to identify root causes and implement preventive measures.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures.
  6. Monitor and report on health and safety metrics and trends to inform business decisions.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and industry partners to stay up-to-date on best practices and emerging trends.
  8. Provide expert advice and guidance to management on health and safety matters.

Requirements

  1. At least 5 years of experience in occupational health and safety, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  2. Proven track record of developing and implementing effective health and safety programs.
  3. Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
