Job Title: Senior Development Project Manager

RWE Renewables, a leading player in the renewable energy sector, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Development Project Manager to join its team in Spain. As a key member of the Business Development Spain team, you will be responsible for driving the development of wind, PV, and BESS projects from early stages to investment decision and handover to the construction and operations team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and quality standards in accordance with RWE Renewable Group guidelines.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure timely and transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage the permitting process, including EIA and permit documentation, relationships with authorities, and representation of RWE's interests.
  • Build and maintain relationships with landowners and local communities to ensure project success.
  • Improve project competitiveness by challenging assumptions and reducing costs, in collaboration with the Investment Manager.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience (3-5 years+) in solar and/or wind development in Spain.
  • Demonstrate performance orientation, self-motivation, and commercial awareness.
  • Proven knowledge of the Spanish renewables market and ability to lead, develop, and inspire teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
