About the Role

Aptitude Globalis is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineering Lead to join our team in Spain or the UK. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing a team of experienced Data Engineers and driving the development of our data engineering capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the Data Engineers, resolving complex technical issues and roadblocks.
  • Develop and implement technical direction, patterns, and coding standards for the Data Engineers.
  • Identify and hire top talent in Data Engineering, both in the UK and Spain.
  • Lead teams of Data Engineers on client engagements, designing and building data pipelines, cloud data warehouses, and data models.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including team members, clients, and senior leadership.
Requirements
  • Significant experience in a Senior Data Engineering role, with a strong track record of success.
  • Deep knowledge of at least one cloud provider, with AWS or Azure preferred.
  • Strong automation skills, with experience in creating fully automated CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with GIT and other code versioning software.
  • Experience working with Agile methodology and exposure to tools such as Jira/Confluence/Mural.
  • Previous experience in people management or building a Data Engineering practice.
