About the Role

Aptitude Global is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineering Lead to join our team in Spain or the UK. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing a team of Data Engineers and driving the development of our data engineering capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical guidance and support to Data Engineers, resolving technical constraints and roadblocks.
  • Develop and implement technical direction, patterns, principles, and coding standards for the Data Engineering team.
  • Identify and hire top Data Engineers in the UK and Spain.
  • Lead teams of Data Engineers on client engagements, designing and building data pipelines, cloud data warehouses, and data models.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and promote a culture of innovation and free thinking within the Engineering community.
Requirements
  • Significant experience in a Senior Data Engineering role.
  • Strong knowledge of at least one cloud provider, with AWS or Azure preferred.
  • Experience with automation, GIT, and Agile methodology.
  • Previous experience in people management or building a Data Engineering practice.
