We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent our company in a positive and professional manner, building strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Travel frequently to Spain, Portugal, and other countries in EMEA, providing on-site service and support to customers.
- Own and deliver service commitments, including installations, repairs, data analysis, calibrations, and preventative maintenance on X-Ray fluorescence Spectrometers and optical emission spectrometers.
- Provide remote or on-site services within agreed conditions, setting accurate priorities and ensuring timely completion.
- Prepare and submit service reports, documentation, and protocols to meet internal and customer needs.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by building strong relationships and promoting excellent customer experiences.
- Collaborate with commercial colleagues to deliver customer deals that meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement through our Practical Process Improvement Business System.
Requirements:
- Diploma or equivalent education in electrical engineering, chemistry, engineering, or technical training in electronics or a related field.
- Five years of work experience in technical services, with a strong background in field service or technical support.
- Knowledge of heavy industrial processes, such as metallurgy, mining, geology, and geochemistry, is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work efficiently in difficult and stressful situations.
- Good knowledge of electronics and mechanics, with a strong focus on customer friendliness and professionalism.
- PC literacy, including MS Office and Outlook, with the ability to travel up to 80% of the time.
- Valid driver's license and self-organized and effective work style.
