Mandarin Oriental International is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sommelier Assistant Trainee to join our team at our luxurious hotel in Madrid. As a Sommelier Assistant Trainee, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, assisting the Head Sommelier and colleagues in the restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Sommelier in maintaining the highest standards of wine service and knowledge.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the hotel's wine list and be able to make recommendations to guests.
- Ensure that all wine glasses, decanters, and other equipment are properly cleaned and maintained.
- Assist with wine tastings and events, and provide exceptional service to guests.
- Work closely with the restaurant team to ensure seamless service and high levels of guest satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a fine dining or luxury hotel environment.
- Strong knowledge of wine and spirits.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
