About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Specialist to join our Data & Analytics organization at Siemens Energy. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving the energy transformation by ensuring the effective management of our data assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement data governance frameworks, policies, and standards to ensure data quality, integrity, and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data management solutions, including data catalogs and data quality tools.
  • Communicate and present data governance concepts to stakeholders, including training and upskilling activities.
  • Design and deliver data maturity models to support the embedding and monitoring of data governance practices.
  • Plan and execute workshops, reviews, and audits to ensure data governance artifacts are endorsed by the SE data community.
  • Define and measure data governance KPIs, and drive their adoption and regular reporting.
Requirements
  • University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • 5+ years' experience in Data Management in a large organization with a complex data landscape, preferably in the energy sector.
  • Specialist in designing and implementing Data Governance, with experience in Master and Reference Data Management, Data Quality Management, Metadata Management, Enterprise Data architecture, and Data security practices.
  • Strong facilitation skills, excellent communication and presentation skills, and experience with cloud and data management trends.
