About the Role
Instituto De Salud Global De Barcelona (ISGlobal) is a leading research institution addressing global public health challenges through cutting-edge research, policy translation, and education. We are seeking a highly motivated Master Researcher to join our team and contribute to the development of a project focused on antimicrobial resistance.
Project Overview
The project aims to develop new strategies to combat antimicrobial resistance, specifically targeting efflux pumps in bacteria. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating the in vitro activity and stability of a cyclic peptide with antimicrobial potential against A. baumannii, P. aeruginosa, and K. pneumoniae.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the general organization of the research group and its equipment and infrastructure
- Ensure the correct execution of research lines and techniques in the laboratory
- Provide support to team members, including PhD students, post-doctoral researchers, and visitors
- Contribute to other activities within the scope and purpose of the project
Requirements
- Previous laboratory experience in microbiology, particularly in antimicrobial resistance
- Training in Molecular Biology
- Excellent organizational and teamwork skills
- Initiative, proactivity, and problem-solving skills
