We have a region of industrial gases in Southern Europe with several production plants in Spain and Portugal. Maintaining these plants in optimal operating conditions is crucial for our business, which is why we have a highly qualified European field maintenance team that takes care of planned and unplanned maintenance, problem-solving, repair, and on-call coverage to ensure high-quality production with minimal downtime. The team also supports plant improvement projects and activities related to the launch of new plants and expansions of existing production plants.
We are currently looking for an Electrical Field Engineer to join our Southern Europe Maintenance Team based in El Morell. Do you want to be part of it?
Responsibilities- Resolving problems, repairing, preventive, corrective maintenance, and installing rotating machines, high and low voltage static systems, and support devices for construction activities for plant improvement projects and activities related to the launch of new plants and expansions of existing production plants.
- Participating actively in department/plant safety programs. Promoting safety standards and procedures, as well as compliance with environmental regulations.
- Participating actively in a team environment, contributing a positive attitude, maintaining personal responsibility, and actively committing to plant personnel.
- Ensuring that work is planned and executed safely with high efficiency by supervising contractors and/or Air Products personnel.
- Carrying out plant modifications in accordance with central design specifications, presenting any design changes to specialist engineers for approval before implementation.
- Assisting in the development, implementation, and periodic review of preventive/predictive maintenance programs to reduce unplanned downtime and improve overall plant reliability.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent in the electrical field.
- At least 2 years of experience in maintenance, preferably in a petrochemical or manufacturing environment.
- Valuable knowledge of interpreting electrical documentation and ability to read electrical control panel plans.
- Valuable experience in high voltage and large motor applications.
- Flexibility to travel around 50% of the time in Spanish territory.
- Basic knowledge of technical English.
- Knowledge of word processing, email, and spreadsheet software. Valuable knowledge of SAP.
