About the Role:
The Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) is seeking a highly skilled Science Communication Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Earth Sciences Department, you will be responsible for leading and managing communication, dissemination, and user engagement tasks in the context of EU and national-funded research projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective communication strategies to engage stakeholders and promote the results of our climate and weather modelling projects.
- Coordinate with other related European projects and initiatives to organize training and dissemination activities/events and liaise with the corresponding communications officers of partners/stakeholders.
- Collaborate with a diverse and international team of researchers, engineers, social scientists, and communication experts to design and create scientific communication and dissemination materials and content.
Requirements:
- Experience working in interdisciplinary and international research teams and in the design and creation of scientific communication and dissemination materials and content.
- Previous knowledge on the topic of climate and weather modelling is desired.
