Risk, Compliance and Technical Accounting Analyst Europe

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance and Risk Management Specialist to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our Internal Control System (ICS) within the local finance team at Omya International AG.
Main Responsibilities- Standardize and Harmonize ICS Framework: Develop and implement a standardized ICS framework across all regional entities, ensuring consistency and best practices.
- Champion ICS and Corporate Policies: Promote operational consistency, standardization, and awareness of Group policies, procedures, and statutory requirements across the region.
- Support Entities in Addressing Audit Findings: Collaborate with local finance teams to address internal and external audit findings, ensuring timely implementation of recommendations.
- Analytical Review and Reporting: Conduct analytical reviews of processes and transactions, identifying deficiencies and reporting to management.
- Employee Education and Training: Provide support, education, and training to employees to increase Corporate Policy compliance and internal control awareness within the organization.
- Process Improvement and Automation: Work with regional countries to improve processes through continuous improvement and embed ICS in current and new systems and processes.
- Smart Automation and Efficiency: Drive the elimination of inefficiencies and automation of manual tasks to enhance overall process efficiency.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Stay up-to-date with new compliance and risk management processes, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Anti-Fraud Programs: Support Omya's anti-fraud programs, ensuring a robust and effective control environment.
- IFRS Knowledge and Awareness: Provide training to local finance teams to improve IFRS knowledge and awareness within the organization.
- GAAP and IFRS Reporting: Support local finance in identifying and resolving differences between local GAAP and IFRS reporting.
- Qualified accountant with 2-3 years of experience.
- Experience with SAP required in multiple modules and strong technical skills in Excel.
- Good IFRS knowledge.
- Ability to identify emerging issues in assurance and internal controls by scanning the internal and external business and risk environment.
- Proven experience in building, developing, and sustaining relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
- Compliance and governance coupled with strong finance process knowledge.
- In-depth knowledge and experience of internal control frameworks, risk-based auditing models (e.g. COSO framework), and compliance frameworks.
