About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Operations Specialist to join our Global Procurement Shared Services team at Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering operational purchasing tasks and assignments to support our EU procurement and business teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process daily remedy tickets and web requisitions to ensure timely and accurate resolution.
  • Act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including vendors and manufacturers, to provide support and guidance.
  • Set up and maintain supplier master data for our procurement network, ensuring compliance with our Spending and Transaction policy.
  • Support continuous improvement projects to enhance our procurement processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct and verify Sustainability, Safety, and Corporate Social Responsibility compliance for suppliers, and manage escalations related to supplier compliance issues.
  • Create and analyze regular supplier compliance reports to identify improvement areas and drive business growth.
A Day in the Life

As a Procurement Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our procurement processes. Your day will be filled with reviewing incoming Vendor Onboarding requests, engaging with internal stakeholders, and following up with suppliers to finalize onboardings successfully. You will also partner with other team members to work on projects aimed at improving our processes and driving business growth.

Our Global Procurement Shared Services team is a diverse and multicultural group of professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional service to our stakeholders. We are committed to providing efficiencies to other teams under the Global Procurement Organization (GPO) by driving the execution of our processes and raising the bar on service level.

Requirements
  • B2/C1 English level.
  • Knowledge in using ERP systems (e.g. SAP, ORACLE, Coupa) in large organizations.
  • Knowledge in MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
  • High precision in verbal and written communication.
  • Previous experience in shared service centers or in supplier management is advantageous.
  • Data analysis experience will be valued.
  • Self-motivated person with ability to resolve day-to-day problems and focus on delivering results.
  • Ability to make effective escalation decisions.
  • Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good judgment and instincts.
  • Able to prioritize in complex, fast-paced environment, with good time management.
  • Formal business administration or procurement qualification required, Bachelor degree preferred.
