Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Energy Consultant to join our Green Transition team at Icf. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and delivering energy and climate consulting projects for public sector clients, with a focus on product life cycle assessments and the circular economy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage energy and climate technical assistance contracts, taking a lead in product life cycle assessments and the circular economy.
- Manage energy and climate projects which feature high degrees of research, analysis, policy, technical assistance, and modelling and impact assessments.
- Manage project teams and subcontractors, taking responsibility for meeting client needs within quality, time and cost constraints.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients.
- Promote the company's services and expertise through thought leadership content on pertinent topics.
- Maintain appropriate records and uphold quality assurance integrity.
- Support business development activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, chemical), environmental economics or related discipline.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
- Expertise in product Life Cycle Analysis, and the circular economy.
- Experience winning and successfully delivering energy and climate consulting projects for public sector clients.
- Extensive project and proposal management experience.
- Proven experience of professional report writing.
- Knowledge of the applicable UK/EU energy and climate policy framework.
- Strong qualitative and quantitative analysis capability.
- Proven capability for processing, managing and presenting data.
- Proven high degree of determination to meet customers' needs.
- At least 8 years' professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters' degree in engineering or related discipline.
- Application of product life cycle analysis work to solve client needs.
- Ability to lead and work within multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary consulting teams spread across several countries and time zones.
- Line management experience in a professional consulting environment.
- High proficiency in Excel, VBA and relevant online tools to optimise operational processes.
