Senior Engineer Energy Storage Job Description

About the Role

As a Senior Engineer Energy Storage, you will be part of the Southern Europe, Middle East, Latin America, and Africa (SEMELA) energy storage team, working closely with our colleagues in the Solar teams as a single Section in this region. You will be responsible for executing and/or managing energy storage related advisory projects, including feasibility studies, technical due diligence, and owners engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and/or manage energy storage related advisory projects, including feasibility studies, technical due diligence, and owners engineering.
  • Conceptual design, technical specifications, procurement support, EPC/O&M contract review, design review, construction progress monitoring, testing and commissioning, grid connection review, report writing, and presentations.
  • Extend your external network and identify, drive, and facilitate sales and market-led opportunities for energy storage.
  • Analyze new business opportunities, gather market intelligence, and ensure distribution of knowledge among relevant colleagues.
  • Achieve sales as per targets agreed with the Storage Team Lead.
  • Build an internal network to gain and share knowledge and opportunities.

We support utilities, regulators, developers, owners, and lenders with feasibility studies, technical due diligence, conceptual design & procurement support, and independent technical advisory services for either owner, lender, or offtaker/procurer/regulator.

What We Offer

As a Senior Engineer Energy Storage, you will have a dual responsibility, focusing on both being actively involved in the delivery of (mostly) energy storage-related projects and driving bidding processes for energy storage-related opportunities in Iberia. You will be using your technical expertise and experience for supporting your colleagues in the team to deliver independent and owners engineering services across the SEMELA region.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in energy storage, excellent communication and project management skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic and respectful environment. You will be located on any of our Spanish offices, meaning Madrid, Barcelona, or Zaragoza, and reporting to Storage Team Leader for SEMELA.
